M.I.A.

Life has been on a sort of a hold and I’ve been M.I.A.  But I am still here – promise!

I’m giggling with anxiousness, sweating from nervousness, crying from frustration, trying to calm a racing heart, not seeing enough of the sun (which is tragic for me) and sitting way too long.  Why?  Because for the past couple weeks I’ve been head down trying to FOCUS on ……. dun dun dun daahhhhh …… a new web site!  I am incredibly excited and happy to be working with the super talented team of Promise Tangeman - but dang, it is a lot of work!  Lucky for me I’ve always been interested in typography and graphic design.  But even so, I would not be able to do it without Promise and her designers.

What has been my saving grace getting through this all?  My husband calming me in my anxiety-driven 30+ emails a day, pillow fights with my 3-year-old at the end of a day (and an occasional dance-a-thon), my mother-in-law loving my kid during the day, and LOUD BLASTING music.  I think the neighbors would rather hear that then me.  :)

We are off for a road trip down south this weekend to meet Promise and team.  Mixing a little beach play with work.  By this time next week, I will be LIVE with a sparkling new site!  Happy dance.  H.a.p.p.y. dance!

can’t wait to meet you!! <3 freda

Back to Exploring Film! | San Francisco Bay Area Lifestyle Photographer

You can’t even imagine how excited I was to discover a Canon 1v film body the morning of Mother’s Day. I was completely flattened – Tuan sure is never short of surprises. He truly is my better half and I am one of the luckiest girls around … and not just because of my new camera.

Here are a few images from my first test roll.

Nevada Desert Photo Shoot

How cute is she? I almost want to go blonde seeing how cute she is. And such a good sport too for trying to ride a bike in 5″ heels. The crazy ideas we have …

As you may see in my blog, I was pretty busy on my Vegas trip to WPPI. I am working diligently to keep up with my post-production work, but the shoots are happening more than I can keep up with. It’s the good kind of problem and stress to have knowing I am busy shooting!

Thanks to the talented team who made this day possible.

Beach Break!

We were so thankful to get away for a couple days and just run run run on the beach.  It happened the week of our mini heat wave so the weather could not have been better.   Since this was family time, I told my kid I wouldn’t take out the camera (at least not too much) but I just couldn’t resist – it was just too fun and I had to capture it!  Maybe next time I’ll leave the camera at home … not.

Thanks to my husband for picking up the camera and getting this one of us.

I couldn’t get enough of this pier.  It must be one of the longest piers I have ever seen.

How fun is a swing set on the beach?!  I vote this as the “best view from a swing set.”
