  • Hello + Welcome!

I call hilly San Francisco home with my husband and wild child. I like wild, so I'd have it no other way. When I am not with my boys, I love to be out capturing life - people - in a fun and real way. It is work, but I get to laugh, play, cheer, and get excited … a lot.

Thanks for stopping by to visit my journal! Please make sure to leave a comment because I'd love to hear from you. It definitely makes my day.

Hope we connect some day soon!

Building Community – San Francisco Bay Area Event Photography

This has been an incredibly busy month, not that you’d guess by my absence in posting on this blogsite!  In addition to my child and family photography, I partook in three community give back projects.  Here are a few fun highlights from the Taste of Tel-Hi annual dinner.  Together, under an elegant tent setting at the Joe DiMaggio Playground, close to 500 friends and neighbors came out to celebrate their commitment to serving the children, teens, families, and seniors of Tel-Hi.

Much of the success of the evening goes to the dinner co-chairs Sandy Hoeffer and Jack Bair.  These two longtime supporters of Tel-Hi worked tirelessly the past few months to ensure a warm welcoming event.  Then there was the auction committee headed up by Pamela Rhodes and Tony Tyson, Tel-Hi’s program director.  First thing Pamela asked me after not seeing her in a year was if I was donating a photography package to the auction.  Ha ha – she’s a true Tel-Hi supporter!  And an absolute inspiration.  She is the principal at a successful financial consulting company, Rhodes and Fletcher, and also somehow manages to follow her passion for art, culture, and adventure.  So much so that Pamela founded ArtRoads, a fab resource for art lessons, classes, history, schools, and even trips to Tuscany!

Gosh, there were so many dedicated people committed to making this event wildly successful.  In addition to the Tel-Hi administration working late nights and early mornings, there was the Board of Directors spreading the word and recruiting sponsors.  Asim Bhansali, Tel-Hi’s fearless board president, received a surprise visit from Davis Chiu (San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors President) and Joaquin Torres (San Francisco Mayor’s Office) to award him with a Certificate of Honor.  There was a long salvitating list of local restaurants and wineries graciously donating: Chef Tyler Florence of Wayfare Tavern, Chef Gerald Hirigoyen of Piperade, Chef Mike of Venticello, Boudin Bread, E&O Trading Company, Sweeties, Pier 23, Original Joe’s North Beach, Louella’s, Txoko’s, DeLise Café, Ghiradelli Chocolates, Cerruti Cellars, Martin Ray Winery, The Winery SF, and Bink Wineries.  Bobby Buchanan of Buchanan Designs designed the awesome programs at a low cost.  And finally all went off without a glitch due to the smooth assistance of Sanford Marshall of SanMan Productions.
