The weeks leading up to halloween mark the heart of the fall season. Halloween time is not just the costumes and trick or treating (although they are a highlight now that I have a toddler!), but also the fall harvest full of pumpkins, gourds and apples. Maybe I focus on these areas more since costumes were not much celebrated when I grew up. And I absolutely love that first taste of crisp cool air that marks the season change. We were fortunate to visit Western Michigan this October as the fall color changes were at their peak and the days were crisp.
This year my little one dressed as a chef. He’d make his grandpa proud as he was a chef by trade.
