Although it was a whopping 30 degrees, Megan, Al and Al’s son Santo, were all troopers. We met downtown Detroit in a historical waterhole called the Grand Trunk Pub. After a drink or two to numb us for the cold, we ventured out into the streets. Al grew up in Detroit and so they wanted some classic edgy Detroit shots. I have to say I had fun doing this and working on a whim. Santo was an awesome stand-in model and light assistant, hiding behind bushes and even watching my back so I don’t get run over. And Detroit folks are cool. As I was shooting in the middle of an intersection, one guy rolled down the window of his 90’s classic American car to tell me I had cash hanging out of one pocket and a cell phone out of the other. No, I didn’t look like a target. 🙂
Megan and Al – I look forward to capturing and sharing in your upcoming wedding!
