Teresa O'Brien Photography bio picture
  • Hello + Welcome!

I call hilly San Francisco home with my husband and wild child. I like wild, so I'd have it no other way. When I am not with my boys, I love to be out capturing life - people - in a fun and real way. It is work, but I get to laugh, play, cheer, and get excited … a lot.

Thanks for stopping by to visit my journal! Please make sure to leave a comment because I'd love to hear from you. It definitely makes my day.

Hope we connect some day soon!
    Teresa

Rushing in late to the first staff meeting of the school year, a cute male teacher grabs a chair for her and sets it right next to him. Assuming he had a girlfriend, Elise did not pursue. And Alex being the kind quiet gentleman he is, admired from afar. It wasn’t until a few months later that a coworker coerced them both to a party. Thanks to intuitive coworkers and holiday parties because after that evening Elise and Alex were inseparable. I didn’t ask but I wonder if the school kids figured it out, spreading word on the playground (ha!).  Kids are intuitive we know!

These two were super fun, nonstop smiling, and rolling with everything I threw at them. We crossed the Golden Gate Bridge to hike down to Kirby Cove in the Marin Headlands on the first nice winter weekend. Really looking forward to their wedding this summer and meeting their families at the Marin Headlands Center for the Arts!

We were lucky that the tide was low enough for us to get on for some tree swinging. 2016-02-25_0001 Elise+Alex_ENGAGE_1-24-16_153_Teresa OBrien Photography Elise+Alex_ENGAGE_1-24-16_186_Teresa OBrien Photography

Gotta love the off season for a bit of stillness.

When I look at this, it just makes me think how giddy with excitement Elise feels for what lays ahead.

I cannot wait to meet you Rob! I heard many many great things about the family. It’s going to be a truly amazing day!ReplyCancel

This is the kind of family where you WANT to be at the family gatherings.  Dad is a surfer and mom still has that gleam in her eye when she looks at him.  Even after 25 years.  It seriously is the cutest thing.  And if you met dad, you’d understand why.  They raised three girls in quiet coastal towns, and it is clearly evident the closeness of this family.
The day we met was the first chilly foggy afternoon of the season.  But that didn’t damper their spirits.  They’re coastal people after all who like heavy blankets and the unexpected moody sky the beach can bring.  Little Gio was the center of attention, and rightfully so – just look at him!  He happily led the pack through cypress trees and down to the tide pools for a bit of exploring.  Pretty much a perfect evening in my books.
If you want to see how much Gio has changed in two year, check out his baby session.

Matt is just as silly as the dad.

I love this image because Amber looks at Matt the way her mom looks at her dad.   CleaveRicchetti_2015-10-15_FAM_Teresa O

These two recently celebrated 25 years together.

They’ve seen more beach sunsets than we likely can count, yet they still admire and appreciate each one.
